VOICE LABORATORY
a workshop by Sainkho Namchylak, focusing on voice and sound
Friday November 14 & Saturday November 15, 2025
4–8 pm
Register via info@weloveschool.org or dm via Instagram @performativescreenings until November 12!
The workshop is limited to 12 participants.
In this workshop, we will experiment with the sounds we carry within us through STATIC MEDITATION, as a way to amplify the connection between body and voice. We will further examine possibilities of creating through ACTIVE FORM OF MEDITATION, connecting voice/sound improvisation to fantasy and the act of visualisation through singing action. Piercing the border to our deep unconscious, we will find links to the archaic, hidden in the backstage of our memory.
The voice as a tool for improvisation will give chance to connect to early childhood experience, trying to awaken basic forms of human creativity in order to understand the evolution of our consciousness.
We will try to make visible the connections between voice, movement, visions and associations in the imaginary of our inner universe, by developing individual active ways of meditation through expressing, moving and singing.
The aim of this workshop is to reconnect to the ancient wisdom that we all carry within us, and to embed the creativity that comes along as a continuous practice into our daily lives.
